

Dr. Sandy Schmith graduated in 1987 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and moved to the area with her husband Rick to join the Sheldon Veterinary Clinic. In June of 2024 , Rick, Sandy, and their 15 yr old cat “Noogie” moved to Sioux Falls, SD. They love the outdoors, hiking, biking and traveling. Dr. Schmith continues to work part time at the clinic.

Dr. Rebecca Cuperus is a Minnesota native who moved to Sioux County in 2003 to be closer to cows. She attended the University of Dallas for her Bachelor’s degree before entering veterinary medicine. She is a 2003 Graduate from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She lives in Sioux Center on a small acreage with her husband, son and five dogs. Before working for the Sheldon Veterinary Clinic, she worked in a large animal research setting for the past 20+ years. She enjoys the outdoors including activities like hiking, camping, and hunting.

Dr. Megan Klein grew up on a row crop and swine farm outside of Alton where she found her love for working with livestock. After earning her degree in Animal Science from South Dakota State University, she attended Iowa State University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in May of 2024. Since June of 2024, Dr. Megan has been practicing mixed animal medicine with Animal Medical Centers in Spencer and Hartley. She spends her time working with dogs, cats, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, and the occasional horse! Outside of the clinic, you can find Dr. Megan at Iowa State football games with her husband, hiking with her dog Eleanor, or reading a new book with a large cup of coffee in hand!
